The Hellenic Bank Association would like to inform banking clientele about the transactions which will not be effected in bank branches as of Tuesday 24th March, following the imposed temporary measure of citizens’ restricted circulation in order to cope with the dispersion of Covid-19

HBA member-banks further intensify protective measures for employees and clients following the imposed temporary measure of citizens’ restricted circulation, in order to cope with the dispersion of Covid-19.

Thus, kindly be informed that as of Tuesday 24th March 2020, following transactions will not be effected with physical presence in bank branches:

  1. Cash withdrawals up to €400 will be made exclusively at ATMs, with the use of debit card
  2. Cash deposits up to €1.000 will be made at ATMs, with the use of debit card
  3. Payments to third party accounts (public sector, energy, water, telephony, pay TV, insurance etc.) are settled via internet/mobile banking or at ATMs and Automatic Transaction Centers (by using APSs). It will not be possible to service these transactions using cash at the cash desk
  4. Bank account statements (transactions and balances) are updated via internet/mobile banking or at ATMs. Savings’ booklet updates will not take place onsite

In order to be better served, it is advised that you take advantage of your debit card as well as the codes for accessing e-banking services of your bank.
